Knolly & Transition

Evolution is what we are and why we're here. As subjects of evolution, we at Sooke Cycle have progressed more deeply into our destinies, and have matured in our focus over the past three years.

March 1, 2007 marks our third year in business, and we are very pleased to report that we've met with some good success. In part, it's a no brainer- Sooke's population is growing rapidly. However, residents regularly tell us that they appreciate our service and our attitude- that they value our presence in their community. We've also started to notice more and more mountain bikers coming from other areas to ride in Sooke, and some of them are deciding to make Sooke Cycle their new shop, or at least one of their favorites. We don't mean to boast, only to acknowledge what it means to us to be on the right path.

Speaking of paths, mountain bikers can take note that Sooke Cycle has partnered with Transition Bike Company and with Knolly Bicycles. We are extremely excited about representing these young company's fantastic bicycles in our store, and growing with them as mountain biking evolves and progresses.

In terms of youth, building a new dirt jump park in Sooke was a huge benefit to our community, and Sooke Cycle played a crucial role in its birth and will continue to as maintenance and development becomes the focus. We're currently lobbying for a second, different, venue in the John Phillips Memorial Park . With Broom Hill and Harbourview, Sooke will be to Victoria what Squamish is to Vancouver . World class baby! Check in at Sooke Cycle for our new map of the area, (still in development) which will include almost everything you need to know to get around and have fun in the Sooke Hills.

The Sooke Shredders DH team had a great season in 2006, and will Sooke And Destroy in 2007! Speaking of downhill racing, keep your ears to the ground for the Sooke Shredfest DH next season. For those keen on racing in the Island Cup series, membership in the Sooke Bike Club is $30 and is available at Sooke Cycle.

When you come by the shop, you'll be greeted by Jay and Lorien who will be happy to help you with all of your cycling needs. Whether you're here to get your bike fixed, rent a bike, buy a bike or other stuff, or simply get some directions and hang out for a bit, we're looking forward to your visit!
